Over 100 years of brick oven satisfaction… "When people come to my establishment, they get treated like family," spoken straight from the lips of owner and operator Vincent Iannelli.
This three generation South Philadelphia institution has been family owned and operated since 1910, when Terry and Mirna Iannelli set out to transform the pizza industry with a cheese less pizza (also known as tomato pie). For those of you who do not know what tomato pie is, it is a cheese less pizza consisting of gravy (you may also know this as sauce) on a Sicilian pizza crust (based on the region of Italy my ancestors came from). Once you take your first bite, you will be hooked. It is love at first bite.
Today, his grandson, Vincent Iannelli continues this family tradition by honoring his grandfathers recipes while adding his own special signature to the fully expanded menu. What started out as a brick oven bakery, serving only fresh bread, tomato pie and cookies has expanded to a full blown bakery and café featuring: gourmet cupcakes/cannoli's/cookies, specialty pizzas, cakes, gift baskets, our homemade gravy and so much more.
